Pretendin' it's the weekend

Today, partly inspired by Jack Johnson and partly inspired by the fact that there are enough bananas in my freezer to feed a small country banana bread for a year, I made banana pancakes! I didn't use a recipe - just winged it, and they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Banana-y, but not over the top. I'm pleased with my culinary excursion of the day.

If anyone has a good recipe for bananas besides banana bread/muffins, I'd like it. I'm trying to figure out some more creative ways to use them than the usual.

So, After reading your latest post on bananas I started thinking what else can you make with bananas besides bread, muffins, pie, pudding, and shakes. I did a little research and here is what I have found: Baked bananas with rum,Brazilian Braised Chicken and Bananas,Green Banana and potatoe salad, banana ketchup, banana rum puffs, banana sunflowerseed cookies and many more. Who knew bananas were so versatile? not me! oh I also found the history of bananas and how to grow bananas.

mmmm...if they're really firm, you could fry them....yummmyyyy ...peel the banana, cut in half lengthwise, fry in one tablespoon of butter, flipping from side to side until golden brown, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve :)

So why do you exactly have all these bananas? And do you not find it funny that know one has asked yet! I guess people just come to realize not to ask questions when it comes to odd things and you => Love ya sis!

Hahaha, Betsy! Well SOMEONE (not me) keeps buying lots of bananas and then will eat only one or two and the rest have to be frozen or they will go bad. Repeat this scenario a few times and that's why I have all the frozen bananas.

I wonder who is that little monkey who keeps buying those bananas. :)

Hey Golda, I checked out Facebook, and Whitney put up a picture about you and Jeremy on a wedding. You look good on that picture and even Jeremy looks half decent. Anyway, I just liked the picture :)
