O Tannenbaum!

This is my and Jeremy's humble Christmas tree. We bought it a couple weeks ago but I've been too lazy to actually get a picture up of it. Plus, I was waiting until we got our ornaments for it. Yes, there are two ornaments on it - a tennis ball for me and a hamburger for him. It's hard to decorate a tree when you don't have any ornaments. We resorted to one strand of lights, candy canes, and a paper chain. For some reason, making paper chains was a lot more fun in the fourth grade than it is now. We got tired after a few sheets of paper and decided it was long enough and quit. Hence why it doesn't go all the way around the tree. We also bought a tree topper for our tree - a light up angel! It blinks.

Tomorrow we leave for Kansas City/Kansas/Michigan!

Well that is better than we have. We only put up our two ceramic trees and other decorations. I put garland on top of the kitchen cabinets. Don't you have a Dollar Tree near you to buy cheap but great decorations. I just love to look at decorations at stores. Then I don't have so many to put away. Have a great time you two.

Awwww. I like your tree! And it looks real? Is it? I'll ask in a few minutes when you get here... Wish I knew you needed ornaments! I almost bought you some for Christmas.

Ah that first tree, you will remember it always! So what if it is bear. Next year you will have a few more ornaments and then more the next year and then before you know it you will have too many! I like trees that have a bit of this and a bit of that much better than those that have a theme and nothing more. Hodge-podge trees feel like home and that feels like Christmas. (Not that the others aren't pretty...just not my style.)

It is real! I think I like your tree better than ours but it was fun for Logan and I to pick it out at a tree farm this year. It was our special activity while Shaun and Shane were out hunting that day.
