Interesting news tidbit of the day - one of the counties that I have been working in for the past three months was home to the Scopes Trial. In fact, the court house that I go to every week was where the trial took place! It has recently been restored to how it was in 1925, there is a museum in the basement devoted to the trial, and locals reenact it every summer.

How did I just find out about this tonight?

Ah, the interesting finds in small towns, one of the reasons I love to get lost on back roads. You never know what you might find. We once found a HUGE (bigger than a person) chunk of salt in Grand Saline, home of a large Morton Salt mine. Okay...so some finds are more significant than others but still it was interesting!
