Home Sweet Home

After a busy week and a half Jeremy and I are finally relaxing at home. We seriously did nothing yesterday but watch movies and sit on the couch. It was awesome. Our travels began by visiting my family in Kansas and seeing the newest nephew. I unfortunately forgot my camera, but Melissa has a lot of pictures posted at her blog. We had a good time playing board games, eating, holding the baby, and thankfully not dying in the "blizzard."

This is my favorite picture of AJ, that I stole from Melissa:

On Christmas day we headed over to Kansas City to see Jeremy's family. Jeremy, his brother, and I went to the art museum while there. It was the first time I'd been since I was about 8 and Jeremy hadn't been since he was in middle school. It sure has grown since then. We also introduced Jon to Mongolian BBQ at Genghis Khan - a place we always have to visit while we're in KC. Jeremy and I went down to the Plaza Saturday night to look at the lights. Because of the snow/"blizzard" not many people were out and we didn't stay too long since it was so cold.

We came back Sunday, I worked for two days, and we left again Wednesday to head up to Indianapolis for Charee's wedding. It was great to see her, Seth, and Eric. It had been too long! After staying up way too late we returned on Thursday and somehow made it until midnight to ring in the new year. Now we're at home doing nothing and enjoying it. I have no more travel plans until March so it's time to finally unpack all the way I guess. That has to be my least favorite part of travel

I did the same thing on the 1st... nothing...

I also managed to stay up on the 31st long enough to watch the ball drop at 11:00 central, and made it to watch the clock click over from 11:59 to 12:00 with no mention of the new year on Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve.

We went to the ice rink on the 1st. It seemed like any other day to us, other than being here in Colorado I guess. Nothing seemed to close since it's still peak ski season. Now we're playing Monopoly! BTW- I know the AJ pic is only your favorite because he's wearing the outfit you bought for him. :)

Was the stuffed dude that looks alive still in the museum?? He use to freak me out not knowing if he was alive or not.

Yup he's still there looking as real as ever. Also, the giant shuttlecocks are still on the lawn.
