A Tale of Two Haircuts

This weekend both Jeremy and I got our haircut. We probably should have staggered it - I don't know how many people have asked us if we got a "two for one" special. (For the record, we did not.)

Jeremy hadn't cut his hair since before our wedding, about 2 1/2 years ago. At some point he decided that he wanted to grow out his hair, and since he's a grad student right now, it seemed like the time to do it. He finally got tired of it and had been talking about cutting it all of for a couple months now. He looks so different, yet this is how he used to look.

I've been needing a haircut of a while, I just never got around to it. My hair was the longest it had been since in college when I grew it out for Locks of Love. Since it was so long, I figured I might as well cut it all off again and donate it. I ended up getting about 12 inches off.

In the middle of my hair cut, the lady cutting my hair started asking the lady cutting Jeremy's hair how to cut my hair. I will admit, I was a little nervous at this point. Luckily, the lady doing Jeremy's hair decided to show her how to do it, which made me feel better. It was a bit weird to be turned into a teaching prop, though.

Such drastic haircuts in January probably wasn't the best idea - our necks are cold!

Props for donating your hair. I did it once before and I'm going to do it again - although just the minimum this time.

But you both look really good cold ;) Weren't the comrade girls there when you got your haircut...was that the same time that Cecilia got her hair cut and then styled really strangely?

Thanks guys!

Charee - I do believe I got it cut last time for Locks of Love on a girls day out trip. I don't remember Cecilia's hair being styled strangely, but anything is possible at the JC Penny salon in Escanaba...

You don't remember when the JC Penney lady put those strange ringlets in the front of cecilia's hair and when she left the salon she was trying desperately to push them down and make the strange little curls lay flat? It was hilarious! I thought it was the same day...
